Who Am I?
My name is Greg!
I am an average person that has developed a real passion for health and wellness through my life experiences. Since 2010 I’ve had the challenge of learning to cope with two very tragic events which changed me for life. In a period of 6 years I had to say “good-bye” to the two most important people in my life.
In April 2010 my father passed away due to pancreatic cancer and then in April 2016 my mother to lung cancer. While most of us will have to experience this at one point in our life, it still doesn’t make it any easier. On the positive side, while this was very tough on me, and still is tough on me, if not for these events then maybe health wouldn’t be such a passion for me.
Mom and Dad it broke my heart to have to say ‘goodbye’ but ‘thank you’ for helping to open my eyes to the importance of health. The loss of both of you is helping me become the man I am today. While you both might not agree with all my decisions, I will always be grateful for everything you did for me.
It is amazing how the loss of my parents has turned my life upside down but at the same time helped me realize the importance of life. It has also helped me realize my passion to want to help others life a better quality of life.
IT STILL SEEMS LIKE YESTERDAY
I remember the day like it was yesterday, back in July 2010
my daughter and I were on our way home from a few days vacation. We received a call from my mom telling me my dad has been taken to emergency due to his breathing. At the time I didn’t think much of it because it wasn’t the first time dad ended up at Emergency due to his asthma.
This time turned out different!
This time turned out to be more serious as he was admitted and days later still in the hospital. It didn’t take me long this time to realize this time there is a bigger issue than just his breathing. I can remember nightly after leaving my father’s bedside while heading home and thinking, “at least I haven’t heard the ‘C’ word”.
A few weeks later the day comes which I feared, my mom calls me to inform me dad has pancreatic cancer. I was absolutely devastating to think within months I might have to say “goodbye” to my dad. In the months to
come I watched my dad’s health quickly deteriorate, and 8 months later the horrible task of saying “goodbye”.
This point on my life changed for good!
The first change that happened was I started to constantly question my health. I guess you could say I started to become a bit of a hypochondriac. This did start to improve as the next few years passed but still today I have my challenges.
In August 2014 my mother informed me she had some not so nice news but absolutely refused to share this news. I never dawn on me at the time that it was anything to do with cancer. In the Fall of 2015 my mother’s doctor suggested my mother tell both my sister and I about her lung cancer because the tumor was starting to grow rapidly. In the Spring of 2016 I had the unfortunate task of now saying “goodbye” to my mother.
When dad passed away this created a very strong interest of endless online research to see what more natural and healthier ways were available to deal with health related challenges, especially those related to cancer. You can image how strong my desire became when my mother passed away.
I strongly believe in the world today there most be better ways to deal with most health related challenges including cancer. While we can’t believe everything we read online, it really is amazing the things I have and will continue discover.
MY HEALTH JOURNEY STARTED…
The loss of my father sparked a greater interest of answer to health challenges and my online research. While this created a more severe health concern for me at the start, in due time it helped provide me with a lot of valuable knowledge. It was also the beginning of me wanting to know so much more about health and how I can improve my health in a more natural and healthier way.
This created a curiosity of an education in ‘holistic nutrition’.
In the Spring of 2017 I decided enrolled into a very comprehensive holistic nutrition program but stepped away a couple months later due to financial reasons. This didn’t stop my desire sure didn’t stop my desire to want to learn more. I continue on a regular basis search online for more potential natural and more healthier solutions to many health challenges.
Without a doubt, because of the loss of my parents there are things I know today that I might not know if I didn’t have to go through both of these heart-wrenching events.
Hence, this site…
I want to share this knowledge with you!
Hence, my next topic of discussion,
WHY DO I WANT TO HELP PEOPLE
The loss of both of my parents helped me realize the importance of life. It is a big part of why I have developed a real passion for wanting to help others enjoy a better quality of life.
My research online has opened my eyes to the many “natural” and healthier options available to help improve our quality of life. An area of health which has become a passion of my is ‘holistic nutrition’. My interest in holistic nutrition has helped educate me the importance of stress, lifestyle and diet has on our health.
In October 2018 I started to explore how the mind can impact our health and body. It really is shocking to learn how our mind is able to affect our body and our physical condition. I won’t lie but I was a bit shocked when I found out chronic pain can often be controlled by our mind. After endless attempts to find MY solution to help me deal with my chronic back issues I stumbled across a free online “Mind/Body” program, and an app.
Both of these are having a profound affect in a major positive way on my life!

I look forward to the opportunity to connect with many of my readers. I hope together we can help improve the life of many people around the world.
